Amazon Kindle2 is 1/3" thick and weighs only 10.3 ounces. Yes, still not blade thin but is lighter than many mobile entertainment gadgets. It's a 3G wireless device so you don't have to look for a coffee shop to find some signal bars. Ah! that cable clutter - don't we love keeping it away? You can order books on the go and receive them in seconds. Wow! that makes it lightening fast. You think of a book and you have got it in your Kindle2. Amazon pays for the 3G connection, you only pay for the books or content. That's not a bad deal. However, the content you paid for can only be viewed using Amazon software. Something that Sony's Daily Edition relieves you off. The Kindle2 feature that I like most is text to speech conversion. Sit back and order the device to read out loud for you. This feature allows you to multitask. You could be cooking and listening to a book, blog or news at the same time. It could read the book while jogging or while you are in the bed and feel too lazy to keep your hands out.

Kindle2 is ready for use out of the box. It does not require any computer, accessory, or specific connectivity. No setup or add-on requirements make this device very simple to use. 2GB storage allows you to store up to 1500 titles which makes it a true mobile library. But do note that this library is limited to that of Amazon collection.
