Air Conditioner Dehumidifiers

Home> Blogs> Air Conditioner Buying Guide> Air Conditioner Dehumidifiers

The monsoon has finally made a thundering arrival. The temperatures have come down. Aah! such a relief. I am sure you are enjoying the weather these days. But the day it doesn't rain, the humidity gets you. Doesn't it? How do we solve this humidity problem? Fortunately, a good AC can do the magic for you.

High humidity level not only causes discomfort to human beings but also provides the breeding environment for mold and mildew that multiply the health risks. Therefore maintaining healthy humidity level is important.

A dehumidifier commonly functions by drawing the moist air to a series of evaporator (cooling) coils. When the air comes in contact with cold coil, it condenses into water. The water is then passed through heating coils which turn it into dryer air. Modern Air Conditioners also function as dehumidifiers.

They usually offer a Dry mode button to switch the AC to the dehumidifier function. In this mode, the Air Conditioner smartly removes the access humidity from the air in your room leaving you in total comfort. While evaluating an Air Conditioner therefore it's essential to check its dehumidifier features.

Temperature control is the primary function of an air conditioner but humidity control is equally important. There are Air Conditioner that can actually cause the reverse to happen. They can increase the humidity level causing more discomfort.
