Godrej, a household brand in India, is bringing a new AC option this season in Godrej Harmony GSC and it's pleasing to eyes while making summer ultra comfortable. Apart from great looks, Harmony GSC series of AC's have a lot to offer to make your summers comfortable. Silver Ion Filter The air we breathe in is filled with all kinds of potentially harmful bacteria. The Silver Ion Filter in the Air Conditioner helps clean the air. It’s designed to kill the bacteria in the air and checks the growth of microbes such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores. The Silver Ion technology does this by destroying the inner configuration of the microbes and by sucking up the cell's elements. AC’s with this filter not only keeps the air cool but clean as well. X - Fan One of the annoying things about AC’s is the dripping water when you start or stop them. Generally, this happens when you stop the AC after a long use. If you happen to work right below the AC, you incessant dripping of water is very irritating. The X Fan function of Godrej Harmony GSC offers the much needed relieve. When this function is activated, the inner unit fan of the AC stays on for a few minutes after the AC is switched off blowing away any residual water. Apart from stopping the dripping water, it also checks the growth of fungi and mold on the evaporator. Stepped Louvers An AC is of not much use if you cannot control the direction of air flow. Godrej Harmony GSC makes the air flow control real flexible by offering Stepped Louvers. You can adjust the opening angle of the louvers step by step to suit your specific needs. Especially, if you got a big room and you tend to sit in varied locations inside it, having this flexbility is important. Multi Temperature Display This feature is not earth shattering but nice to have. It allows you to view the set temperature of the AC or the ambiance temperature at any time by simply pressing a button. I personally would prefer a display that shows both the temperatures all the time without having to toggle a button but at least Godrej Harmony displays it on request. Some AC's don't even give you this option. Blue Fin Technology Blue Fin is a popular technology that's deployed in AC's to check the rusting of the heat exchangers. For a long lasting ACs, it's important that its interior components stay healthy. If heat exchangers get eroded fast, the AC life is cut short or the unit stops being effective. The anti-rust Blue Fin technology is becoming a standard in modern Air Conditioners. It prevents the erosion of the heat exchanging rods and thereby enhances the durability of the Air Conditioners. It's a must have in any AC brand you zero in on. Memory Function Power cuts are frequent in India especially during the summer. I am sure you share the frustration of having to adjust the AC temperature and other settings every time the power goes out and returns. The memory function helps the AC remember the state and settings before the power outage and resume them once the power resturns. The downside of this feature is that it does not get turned off automatically. You have to manually turn the Turbo Mode off once the room has cooled down to your desired temperature level. This mode will obviously use more power so should be used only when required. Catechin Filter Catechin is a plant essential bio filter. Along with Silver Ion Filter, this also prevents the development of bacteria and improves the air quality by removing dust particles. The filter uses extracts from natural green tea and plants that have the quality to stop the growth of bacteria and virus.
