Panasonic CUBE Split Air Conditioners

Home> Blogs> Air Conditioner Buying Guide> Panasonic CUBE Split Air Conditioners

Panasonic has launched CUBE Air Conditioners in India. The design of CUBE AC’s is nothing like a typical split AC. These are single split AC’s that look very much like Windows ACs. The highlight of the Panasonic CUBE ACs is affordability. They are priced attractively for the Indian consumers.  The lowest model is available at about Rs. 16,000/.

Another important characteristic of Panasonic CUBE ACs is that they can shaped such that they can be installed anywhere on the wall. A typical split AC must be installed close to the ceiling to look good but a CUBE AC looks good pretty much anywhere on the wall. You can install it above or below window or close to ceiling. The face of the AC is very neat and clean. You don’t have too many buttons protruding out of it. It looks creatively designed. The grids on the face add to its aesthetic appeal. These front intake grill of the CUBE air conditioners also enable wider air discharge that helps in faster cooling compared to other split ACs.

Often when the price of an Air Conditioner is less, you immediately know that it’s because the noise level of the unit is very high or it’s not an effective cooling appliance. Fortunately, Panasonic engineers wanted to offer all that an AC is supposed to have and yet keep the price low.

One of the design challenges for Air Conditioners is how to keep the noise level low. Some Air Conditioners do a good job in cooling down the area they are installed in but they make annoying noise that often is more frustrating and intolerable than heat itself. Like any other manufacturer, Panasonic team was also determined to offer strong air flow and quick cooling and yet keep the noise level low. As they say everything is possible if you try persistently. Panasonic team redesigned the propeller fan that goes in the indoor unit to accomplish their objective. This shape and curvature of the diagonal fan blades was redesigned to enhance the aerodynamic performance. The new design reduces the noise level and improves air flow. The front intake grill of the CUBE air conditioners supports wider air discharge that helps in faster cooling. The end result is faster and noise free cooling at low cost.

Panasonic also claims that the condenser used in CUBE ACs lasts 3 times longer than standard condensers as they use a layer of an advanced anti-rust coating. Air Conditioner condensers are subjected to dust, moisture and air a combination where rust breeds. The anti-rust coating ensures that the rods are not rusted soon as AC performance deteriorates as rust builds up.

Panasonic CUBE AC’s come in four models –

  • CS-ZC15MKY: Capacity 1.25 ton
  • CS-ZC15MKY-1: Capacity 1.25 ton, with Remote
  • CS-ZC20MKY: Capacity 1.5 ton

These are 2 star rated ACs that support moisture removal, air purification, random auto restart, and 12 hours on/off timer. The AC lacks air purification features. It’s a basic and air conditioner that’s targeted at consumers wanting to pay only for the cooling comfort.

Panasonic CUBE CS-ZC20MKY and CS-ZC20MKY-1 AC models come with 1.5 ton capacity with 18,000 BTU/h and 5.28 KW. They are rated 2 star. The dimensions of indoor unit of CS-ZC20MKY models are 530x725x280 mm. And the outdoor unit size is 540x780x289mm. The noise level of the indoor unit is 51/41 and net weight 12 KG. The AC features Advanced Plud e-ion Air purifying technology, odor removing system, and alleru-buster filter. The Panel of the AC can be removed, cleaned and washed. The AC lets you control the air direction and on/off timer.  The AC supports uptp 32 restart patterns and on restart it picks one randomly.

These Panasonic CUBE AC’s will surely catch shoppers’s eyes because of their low price and unique looks.
