Onida is offering special discounts for the early shoppers. But with or without discount, you cannot deny the value of this feature. When you have had enough of the sun while being outside your house, you want to return to the cool comfort of your room. However, in spite of having an AC your room will require you to sweat a little more before it starts emitting cool air. What the Onida Pre Cool AC offers is an option to turn the Air conditioner on while you are 10 minutes away from your house so that you enter a room that’s nice and cool. And for such a welcoming comfort, many consumers will not mind spending a couple of thousand rupees. There are Air Conditioners in other markets that can be turned on or off via an online monitor. But these ACs require internet connection to make the feature work. But Onida Pre Cool with SMS control is apt for India market where internet access is not that prevalent whereas SMS usage is extremely popular. The other major AC brands are likely to roll out their models that can be controlled via SMS. And they will not only give on/off capability but will offer many more commands. Another thing that’s likely to happen is the elimination of the external mobile device. This unit will go inside the Air Conditioner – why hang another electronics piece in the room?
