Samsung Invincia and Purista Series ACs

Samsung, back in January, launched its 2011 collection of Invincia and Purista series of Air Conditioners in India. The Purista Plus Series of ACs come with Virus Doctor technology that kill bacteria, fungi, and checks the grow of viruses including H1N1 in the air. The Invincia series ACs, on the other hand, are claimed to consume 60% lesser energy. With these advanced AC’s Samsung has positioned itself well against its rivals this summer.

The Purista Series ACs come with Full High Density (HD) filter that offers advanced filtration by removing even the minutest microscopic dust particles from the air. It leaves the air fresh, clean, and healthier. Samsung claims that VirusDoctor™ with SPI (S-Plasma ion) technology, in Purista ACs, can eliminate over 99% of harmful micro organisms including SARS and H1N1 to guarantee contamination-free air quality. The SPI technology has been proven as the most effective purification technology. It generates activated hydrogen and oxygen ions which transform toxins from the air into harmless water vapor while covering a larger area compared to other technologies.

The Samsung Purista ACs also offer Turbo Cooling feature that allows you to use the AC for instant cooling of a room. This feature is particularly useful when you enter an oven-like room. Instead of waiting for the AC to do its cooling job at its own pace, you can switch the Turbo mode on and get it done in seconds. The Turbo mode is designed to provide instant comfort from heat.

What’s probably the most exciting part of Samsung Purista ACs is their S-UTR Plus Compressor. This compressor technology allows ACs to function normally even at temperatures as high as 54 degrees. For consumers in India this is a must-have feature. As the temperatures soar in India, during Summer, many ACs give up. They run, consume energy, but fail to cool the air down. The S-UTR Plus compressor helps ACs function effectively even at higher temperature levels. The compressor is designed even to withstand voltage fluctuations that are common in India. It provides stable and reliable performance even at low voltage without an external stabilizer.

While announcing the launch of Samsung 2011 Air Conditioners, Mr  R Zutshi,  Dy. MD  Samsung India, said, “Samsung is committed  to the consumers well being and comfort. To combat the harmful air contaminants in the air that we breathe, we have launched the Purista Plus series of Airconditioners that have the Virus Doctor with SPI technology that eliminates harmful airborne substances such as bacteria, fungi and viruses like H1N1. This outstanding air purification device improves the indoor air quality to provide a more comfortable and healthier environment.”

The Invincia series of Air Conditioners by Samsung introduces the Smart Inverter technology. Recognizing that voltage fluctuation is a common problem in India, Samsung has packed an inverter in the AC itself making it smarter. These Invincia series ACs come with an inbuilt inverter that can handle volrage from 135V to 290V. This Smart Inverter technology saves up to 60% of energy when the AC is on. And it consumes almost zero energy when the unit is in off.

“Based on our new, health friendly and energy efficient  range of Samsung Airconditioners, our differentiated  service offers and our innovative marketing campaigns, we are expecting to  achieve 35-40% growth in our Split Airconditioner  sales in the year 2011. We expect our Split AC sales to contribute around 80% of our total Airconditioner volumes this year.” states Mr Zutshi.

Samsung has launched 14 new Split AC models and 4 new Window AC models in India this year. About 80% of these AC models are rated 3 Start plus.

Samsung offers an impressive array of 27 AC models across its various series of Air Conditioners viz. Purista, Invincia, Max, and Crystal. Additionally, the electronics and home-appliances major offers 6 AC models in its Z and K series of Air Conditioners. All its Split and Window AC models are customized to meet specific needs of Indian consumers. Ability to handle high temperatures and voltage fluctuations make Samsung ACs outshine others. No wonder the company is seeing phenomenal growth in this space.

Samsung Split AC’s are priced between Rs. 22,540 to Rs. 49,420 and they are available in 0.75T, 1.0T, 1.5T, and 2.0T capacity. The Samsung Window ACs, on the other hand, come in 1.0T, 1.5T, and 2.0T capacity, and are priced between Rs. 20,400 to Rs. 26,210. As the summer sets you can avail special discount offers.
