Why Use an Induction Cooker?

Home> Blogs> Around the House> Why Use an Induction Cooker?

These days almost everyone I know wants to have a clean wire free or smoke free kitchen. Whether it's for beautification of the kitchen or just for the ease of use, induction cooking should be given a fair try.

What is Induction cooking?

Induction cooking is a form of cooking that uses electromagnetic induction technology. It is a flameless safe cooking that makes preparing food a lot more smoke and hassle free.

How does it work?

Certain amount of current is generated using variable magnetic field. An electric voltage is supplied to the conductor spool which in turn produces high frequency electromagnetic field. The field penetrates the metal present in the cooking vessel and produces heat. This heat is transferred to the vessel's contents, and the food gets cooked.

There are a set of copper wires coiled around the magnets creating an electromagnetic field which creates large amount of thermal energy which heats the bottom of the plate pretty quickly, thus making it fast, efficient and better than the normal cooking that we do on our gas stoves.

What are the advantages of Induction cooking?

Fast and efficient: If you compare the time and amount of energy you put into the gas stove or electric cooking, you will see that induction cooker works pretty fast.

No heat wastage: All the heat that is generated goes straight to the cooking vessel and no heat is emitted outside. So, this saves the heat loss and helps induction cooker in being efficient what-so-ever.

Cleaner kitchens: There is no smoke emission so it keeps your kitchen walls smoke and dust free making them look as new as ever.

Cooler kitchens: Just as I said there is no heat loss or emission of heat outside the cooking vessel, the kitchen remains cool and a pleasant place to be.

Safe: Exteriors of the cooking vessel are not heated so there is no danger of getting burn marks and all. Induction cooker is very safe for kids that is, it has no flames, no fire and no such issue.

Ease of use: It is really easy to use this product and the best part is you can place this induction cooker all most anywhere in your home.

So, you save time, you enjoy watching ethe favorite TV channel and cook the food. There are some things you need to take care of when using an induction cooker such as:

The Cookware must be compatible with induction heating you cannot use any usual cooking vessel which is used on a gas stove.

A small amount of noise is generated by an internal cooling fan.

In case of electricity failures you may end up needing a gas stove because it doesn't work then.

There are more advantages to an induction cooker than anything else, so this is worth a try!
