Monsoon Shopping Ideas

Monsoon is the season which can be enjoyed with hot tea and snacks in side your home. This is the season that stays for approximately two months and can be great as well as problematic at times. Imagine the lovely freshly washed green leaves on trees, drops on grasses and the lovely smell of soil, wow sounds amazing. At the same time imagine the traffic jams, messy roads and muddy potholes, doesn’t sound so great. This is a weather that has mixed reactions all over.

Monsoon and shopping doesn’t always go together. I particularly do not like going out in monsoon to pursue my shopping but well, if I need to anyway then one should own these things to make the monsoon work a better thing.

• Shorts: Yes, you should always have a decent pair of shorts with you. Imagine the mud and water outside, do you really love to ruin that favorite pair of jeans you have? Shorts are comfortable to wear and flaunt and they should be on the top most monsoon wear shopping list.
• Flip Flops: Rainy season has never been friendly or great with the leather sandals or shoes you own. Flip flops are the colorful replacements of the usual formal wear which can be worn in rainy season. These let you easily wash the dirt through them once home and are stylish too.
• Umbrellas: I don’t think any one can imagine their rainy day without an umbrella. Moreover these days there are a range of colorful and stylish umbrellas to own. They come in all the price range and colors. Choose one to flaunt your style and stay in fashion with these umbrellas.
• Weatherproof Coats: I miss those days when we used to wear a rain coat and go to schools. Buying a raincoat or especially a weather proof jacket is very important in rainy season. These jackets prevent you from getting all drenched up with water and protect the inner clothes as well.
• Bags and Totes: There are waterproof bags available in the market. I don’t think they cost a lot. You should always buy these bags and travel. At times the bag may not be very fashionable so you can keep the purse inside those bags and commute. Brands like Nike and Reebok do launch stylish waterproof bags to be used in rainy season. Go ahead and make your choice.
• Casual Wear: I have seen people wearing formal dresses and getting all drenched with water or mud stains on them. One must prefer causal wear like t-shirts, kurtis or semi formal wear. These are easy on the go and comfortable. Commuting becomes a pain in rainy season so these causal wear lets you enjoy at least some part of it. There are several options available for such buys in shopping malls during or after rainy season, Pick your color and option and stay comfortable.
• Water Proof Makeup: If you love to stay in fashion and like your make up then be sure to buy waterproof makeup. Brands like Lakme, L’Oreal Mac offer great range of waterproof make up accessories that can be used in such weather. The makeup stays on and you look as fresh as cucumber.
