Lenovo IdeaPad vs. MacBook Air

Home> Blogs> Laptops Notebooks> Lenovo IdeaPad vs. MacBook Air

Lenovo laptops have stayed in the market for long and now they are launching new range of laptops giving a competition to MacBook Air. Will this put an end to the Apple love? For serious followers of Apple Inc, this won’t be a threat at all but for people who wish to own a MacBook Air and have $100 less then they can make a choice here.

Lenovo announces IdeaPad U300s which is giving competition to MacBook I guess.  It is like an affordable Windows alternative to MacBook Air. The 13.3 inches Lenovo IdeaPad matches the MacBook Air fonts, is thin and starts from $1200 which is $100 less than MacBook Air. The IdeaPad offers Core i5 and i7 options. RAM is 4 GB and up to 256 GB SSD storage just like MacBook Air. The look is exceptionally thin and of Aluminum shell. It is just 0.6 inches thick and weighs around 1.3 kg.

In addition to its Graphite gray color, you get to choose a Clementine Orange option also. Lenovo IdeaPad claims a battery life of up to 8 hours which is one hour more than the current competitors. The keyboard is specially designed so that the air flows through the keyboard to keep it cooler.

Moody Eden, vice president and general manager of Intel’s Pc ClientGroup said that people will be vowed with the new U series which is a combination of incredible performance in beautiful and stylish designs. The device boots up in just 10 seconds. It is empowered with 2.0 RapidDrive SSd technology, has Bluetooth, 802.11n Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, USB 3.0 connectors and an integrated 1.3 MP Webcam. Every brand has some uniqueness related to it. I don’t think any other brand can really take what is Apple’s but that doesn’t stop them from competing though! Lenovo as a brand is great with laptops. This laptop is kind of fast for daily use and can replace the main computer. The HDMI output makes it great with large monitors and HDTV. All said and done, this is a nice laptop to go for but as far as MacBook is concerned there are still lots of people who will prefer to go for brand rather than features!
