Tablet PC vs Netbook

A Tablet PC or an iPad (Apple’s Tablet PC, more familiar term) is designed basically for content consumption while a Netbook is built for content creation as well as light content consumption. With rapid strides in computer hardware and software technology, a need was felt to do away with the burden of carrying a laptop (which weighs around 2-3 kg) when all one needed to do was usual business stuff and light entertainment. So, the idea of Tablet PC’s and Netbooks came into being. Netbooks are a category of small, lightweight, and inexpensive laptop computers. With a standard OS a Netbook can be used to create and edit most content which a laptop can create and edit. On the other hand, a Tablet is more suited for reading e-books, sending mail, etc. (See Why buy a Netbook)Let’s explore the features of both in detail. First, we’ll talk about Tablets. The USP (Unique Selling Tablet PCs offer a touch screen and come with no additional hardware like mouse and keyboard.
