By the time iPhone actually hit the stores at the end of June people were going crazy about the anticipated iPhone revolution. And the way it turned out, it was beyond the imagination of even the most optimists of the lot.
iPhone for all practical purposes is a smartphone as well as an iPod. It is touchscreen phone with a 3.5 inch screen, countless applications, amazing graphics, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, GSM and Quad-Band support, 2 MP camera, talk time battery back-up of 10 hours, and on a whole something which is worth more than what you spend on it. iPhone 3G: As if iPhone 2G was not enough, Apple through its upgraded version iPhone 3G or the 2nd generation iPhone further generated and quenched the thirst of countless of happy and proud iPhone owners and wannabes alike. iPhone 3G supports GSM, Quad-Band and UMTS/HSDPA frequencies. To put it simply it drastically improves the way you surf web and download data. The flip side of this though is reduced talk time battery back-up of only 5 hours. But with what you otherwise get in terms of data transfer rates, it really doesn't come across as a major weakness.
With the tremendous possibilities of what Apple could do next with iPhone, you can be pretty sure of it surpassing even the limits of your imagination.

It has the same screen size as the 1st generation iPhone, features 2 MP camera (a tad disappointing for an upgrade), Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and at 4.7 ounces weighs almost the same too. Where it starts scoring higher is with features like 3G support, GPS navigation and the like.
