Samsung i5800 Galaxy 3 Android Phone
The latest buzzword in the mobile market is Android – the Operating System for mobile handsets conceptualized and designed by Google. When Google does something, it is usually the best-far ahead of the competition. Samsung has tried to capture the appeal of Android by incorporating Android as the Operating System for its brand new release “SAMSUNG I5800”. It is fully touch screen phone which combines dazzling looks, state of the art technology, full touch bar, Android OS and a very long battery life. The phone has advanced multimedia features, Layar Reality Browser, Google TM Mobile Services, Android 2.1(éclair), 3G and EDGE technology, just to name a few. A brilliant 3 megapixel camera and a huge memory makes sure you do not need a digital camera or worry about memory space while shooting your prized moments. In life, it so happens that whenever we wish to shoot something appealing we usually do not have our digital camera with us. But, our mobile phone always remains with us. So, forget about retrieving your digital camera as the quality of the photos shot by a 3 megapixel camera is good enough to bring you pleasure. The talktime is about 15 hours on a GSM SIM. Besides, Samsung i5800 lightweight and sleek. It weighs just 109gms and has 55mm Width and 113.5 mm height. A mobile phone should be lightweight. Unfortunately, many buyers learn it the hard way. Whenever you consider buying a mobile, make sure that the phone does not feel heavy in your pocket. It brings a feeling of uneasiness. It also incorporates 3D sound technology to leave you spellbound with its sound quality. One particularly cool feature which I liked about the phone was ‘Geotagging’. Geotagging is the process of adding geographical identification metadata on various media such as photographs, video, websites, SMS messages, or RSS feeds and is a form of geospatial metadata. Geotagging can help users find a wide variety of location-specific information. It has several Google apps such as Google Maps, Search, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk integration. It also has social network apps such as Facebook and has a document viewer and digital compass. Some features which I found missing from the phone were not major issues. The missing ones were a Scheduler, to do list, convertor, currency convertor. However, these are just softwares and may be downloaded at your wish. So, this is not an issue to be concerned about. The display technology used by the phone is TFT. With this new launch, Samsung intends to capture a large share of the market of niche mobile models. Samsung I5800 mobile phone is priced somewhere around Rs.16,000 in India. Considering the price and the latest technology that this handset incorporates, I think it deserves the chance to be considered as an option while making a choice for buying a new mobile handset.
