Samsung has recently launched a new dual-SIM mobile handset in theIndian market. The phone is a dual standby Dual-SIM type. There aretwo categories of dual SIM phones available in the market. The Metro Duos C3322 belongs to the formercategory. Most of the dual-SIM phones available today belong to the formercategory. The phone offers a polished look and is a good medium forcommunicating via instant messages on mFluent IM, socializing on SNS, orreading one’s synced email. One particular highlight of this dual-standbyphone which is not found on many phones of the same type is that onedoes not need to reboot if one has to switch from one SIM to another. TheAccuWeather widget is another interesting addition. Talking about the exterior, the phone offers a sleek metal body which iscompact for portability and ergonomic for comfortable use. The phoneoffers a 2.2” screen with 240 x 320 pixel count. The display is TFT type.The physical dimensions of the phone are 114mm (height) x 48mm (width)x 13.9mm (thickness) and it weighs about 89 grams. The phone offers aninternal memory of 45 MB and an expandable memory of up to 16 GB withmicroSD. The camera offered by the phone is fairly good. At 2 megapixels,the camera would fulfill your basic on-the-fly photography requirements.Video recording with the phone is also supported at 15 frames per second. Its mFluent IM connects you to multiple instant messaging programs such asMSN Messenger and Yahoo Messenger. Your email is automatically syncedwith your PC using ActiveSync. The mobile also gives you a direct line tosocial networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. The improved Bluetooth2.1 EDR offers faster and better connectivity. Transfer speeds are about 3times faster. The AccuWeather widget offers real-time weather informationright on your mobile.Predictive text input feature is enabled thus empowering you to typemessages at a much faster rate. Predictive text input provides yousuggestions for completing the word as you type and if the alternativesuggested matches your requirements then you need not type the whole word manually. The phone also offers FM radio and FM recording. FM recording is particularly handy if a sweet song is playing on FM and you don’t have it in your phone memory. The 3.5 pi audio jack lets you plug youfavorite earphones to listen to multimedia content. The battery offered bythe phone is also good. The stand-by time is about 660 hours and talk timeis about 12 hours. So, effectively, once you charge your phone fully beforestepping out to work, you don’t need to recharge it even if you talk on yourphone the whole day.
