Apple Tablet that has been in wild rumors for years finally faced the cameras today. It was none other than Apple CEO Steve Jobs who took the stage to introduce the new iPad tablet computer to the world. Steve called iPad a truly magical and revolutionary device that will provide an extraordinary web browsing experience.
Everything that comes out of Apple is expected to be extraordinary. The expectations from Apple Tablet computer were no less. People expected it to blow away the e-book readers, Amazon Kindle in particular. They expected it to be fast like a standard laptop, light like a smartphone, and entertaining like an iPod. Does it meet all those expectations? Does it live upto the hype? Let's take a look. iPad Looks Apple iPad doesn't disappoint at all. If you liked iPhone, you'll instantly find yourself appreciating iPad looks. In fact, if you think like me, you'll call it a larger brother of iPhone. Having similar silver curves, same clean body - no protruding buttons or other clutter. In one word - brilliant! iPad Specs & Features iPad is a feature packed tablet computer. The 9.7" multi-touch screen is the highlight of the iPad. It sports crisp and vibrant display. The thickness of the tablet is just half inch and it weighs one and half pounds. You can slip it in your bag and not know about it. It's light and compact. And ultra simple to use. Another highlight of iPad is that it allows you to view a webpage completely on its screen. Automatically adjusts the font to keep the page readable. No scrolls makes browsing a lot more fun. You can flip through web pages using your fingers as pointing device. The screen changes the orientation automatically depending upon what you are doing or how you are holding the iPad. An on-screen full touch keyboard makes typing convenient. The Wi-Fi 3G model supports SIM card tray. The device comes with a long battery life - up to 10 hrs of web browsing. The design of iPad was in works for years. The expectations had obviously been running very high. While there are no earth shattering features in the device, it's no downer either. iPad Price Apple offers iPad in three versions - 16GB capacity, 32 GB capacity, and 64 GB capacity. The 16GB is priced at $499.

Apple iPad is one more testimony to that gospel. The idea of keeping the name starting with i is again very sensible, unlike Google Nexus One which has no brand recall value. Apple iPad is takin heads on many key emerging segments - e-book reader like Kindle, netbooks, and smartphones. Apple iPad is revolutionary. The big advantage iPod has is that the current Apple users (iPod, iPhone and Mac) are going to find it a natural fit for their laptop needs.
