HTC has made a smart move with HTC Smart and offered its users a ‘smart’ phone. First of all, overlooking the sensational Android and traditional Windows Mobile, HTC has based its HTC Smart on Qualcomm’s Brew mobile platform. It has also included its very own Sense user interface to add that extra punch. Then there is option of phone configuration based on your mood, new and easier way of interacting with your contacts, and many other intriguing functionalities all of which combine to make it a smart phone and you a smarter you.

As a matter of fact HTC Smart has a few firsts to its name. It is the very first mobile phone offered by HTC that runs on the Brew mobile platform. And as claimed by the company itself, it is supposed to be the first among a new type of smartphones which are easy-to-use, connected, compact and affordable phones. Their success as a new category though is yet to be ascertained but seems likely.

The smartest of features of HTC Smart is the Sense interface which gives it an extra edge and goes a long way in making you smart as well. It allows you to customize your phone across areas that are the most useful to you. All kinds of interactions that you have with any particular contact are accessible through a single view. It can be an email or social networking like Facebook or a simple text message; all these are integrated in a way that you won’t have to open these multiple applications anymore.

To make it more user friendly, HTC Smart has been made compact and affordable as well. It has a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen display which ensures very fine quality images. It also scores on the performance front with its 300MHz processor which is ably supported by 256MB RAM and 256MB ROM. It is also ahead on the network support front as it supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as HSDPA/CDMA connectivity, depending upon the network service.

Completing the HTC Smart are its 3MP camera and media player. The camera is good enough for you to capture your life and media player with a 3.5mm jack is cool too. You can use the MicroSD card slot for having expandable memory for storing your favorite images and songs and carry them with you all the time. It also has the latest Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and mini-USB 2.0 port as the connectivity options. All these make HTC Smart a desirable Smartphone which in fact is quite ‘smart’ too.

Thanks for the info. Loved all the features mentioned by Rohit in the above blog and would like to see this mobile in person. I'm just thinking about the cost... :)

Lets see at what price HTC is offering this complete pack full of newbies.
