Microsoft Tablet PC - Secret CourierLooks like the Tablet PC competition is heating up behind the public eye. The rumors about Apple's upcoming Tablet PC started making the round a couple of months ago. Now the mega Microsoft also joins the ring. As per Gizmodo, Microsoft is also working on a Tablet PC dubbed internally as Courier. Those who, like me, have been eagerly waiting for Apple Tablet PC get a second choice.
Gizmodo reports that Microsoft Courier Tablet PC is in the advanced stages of the prototype and that it's going through various design reviews aimed at improving the user experience. Courier sports a very distinct design. It features two touch screens, roughly 7 inch in size. The mechanical hinge in between lets you fold the two screens together like a book. You'll be able to use a stylus, fingers and gestures to command the Courier Tablet PC. It lets you write or draw on the Tablet PC. The giant may pack trimmed flavors of Word, Visio, Outlook into Courier. But will that be enough to give tough competition to Apple's Tablet PC? Internet connectivity options, weight, battery life, user experience, and price will determine who beats the expectations. TolMol will share more details with its readers as and when they emerge out of secret walls.
