Samsung LCD TV is a global no.1 brand, however that doesn’t mean you would not encounter problems while operating your Samsung LCD television. The most of the problems that one faces usually have nothing to do with the manufacturer as these issues are commonly caused by the either change in settings or due to power or signal quality. We have discussed here the common problems for television as identified by Samsung.

There is no sound or picture on your TV– Don’t panic as it is highly likely that your TV is not dead. Samsung recommends the following three checks:-

 - Check if the main lead is connected to wall socket. It might be that by mistake someone has taken out the lead off the socket. Or there is chance that the socket is not live due to some power issue

- You might have pressed the power button on your remote – It is as simple as that so just check the power button on the TV or remote. This happens more often when you have a kid at home who is fond of playing with all these gadgets!

- Picture contrast and brightness setting can be another reason for no sound or picture on your TV. Check if, by mistake, you have changed the setting of the LCD TV that led to this issue.

Normal picture but there is no volue – Common sense tells us to check volume  level as it might be at a zero volume, otherwise, check if the speaker is on. Often, it is caused by pressing mute button by mistake.

No Picture or getting Black & White picture – This might be caused by change in the color settings so check that function using your remote. Other reason might be the broadcast system so check if the correct broadcast system has been selected.

Persistent Sound or Picture Interference – You might be getting lines on your screen or there is a sound disturbance. It is usually caused by an appliance that sits close by to your TV. It can also be caused by the mains socket if it has some power quality issues. The sound and picture interference can also be caused by inclement weather condition like lightening.

Blurred or Snowy Picture / Distorted Sound – This can again be caused by bad weather like dark clouds in case your TV gets its signal  via a satellite dish antenna. Some times high winds change the direction of your antenna to cause the same. If you have a cable connection then check for the cable reception. Sometimes, changing the channel can help you confirm if this has to do with a particular channel or happening across all channels.

Rest assured that reputed television brands like Samsung come with a  standard warranty and if there is a defect in your television they would help you fix it Normally, the above descibed issues do not require much help from experts.
