Shoppers Hunt Discounts
Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, is a day for retailers to offer special discounts, deals, giveaways, and promotions to attract shoppers. This is a way for retailers to cash on the holiday shopping mood of the shoppers. Many retailers offer super special deals for the first few shoppers of the day, which motivates many people to spend night outside the malls. They don't mind sleeping in their sleeping bags or makeshift tents, or standing in long lines in rainy and cold weather, for getting those lucky, once in a year, deals. With the advent of internet, shoppers who miss on Black Friday deals can now try their luck on Cyber Monday deals from the comfort of their homes.
Cyber Monday is a relatively newer concept which gives online stores the same opportunity that Black Friday gives to offline retailers. It follows the Black Friday. So shoppers get dual advantage. They now have a 2nd opportunity to buy their favorite products on heavy discount. Amazon's e-reader Kindle may have broken all sales record this Cyber Monday. Millions of shoppers loaded their virtual shopping carts around United States on Cyber Monday. Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Dell, Lenovo, Nokia - all had exciting deals for shoppers. Cyber shoppers have added advantage of comparison shopping. With a click of mouse they can compare various deals across multiple online sellers. They don't have to hop from a shopping mall to mall and stand in line to discover cool deals. It's no surprise that the Cyber Mondays are bigger hit than Black Fridays.
