3D LCD TVs

Are you ready to add third dimension to your Television this Durga Puja, Diwali, or Christmas? TV manufacturers have got the world talking about their latest full HD 3D LCD TVs. If you haven’t heard much noise yet, you are certainly to hear it loud and clear through the piercing sound of Diwali fireworks. If the last Diwali in India was about Sony BRAVIA TVs, this is likely to belong to 3D LED LCD TVs from Samsung, 3D Bravia TVs from Sony, and 3D LCD TVs from other TV manufacturers. Why you should or shouldn’t care about a 3D TV?Well, if you are planning to buy a brand new television, just a flat screen LCD TV shouldn’t steal all the space in your option list. You should definitely consider buying a 3D TV.

3D TV Price

You can buy a Samsung 3D LED TV for about Rs. 260,000/ and a Sony 3D LCD TV for Rs 259,000/. The price tag is comparable but not small. The 3D TV Price for other brands like Panasonic and LG is also comparable. If you don’t want to spend so much money on merely an infotainment box, you can definitely pass the 3D TV option for now. The prices of other LCD TVs, across all TV brands, will drop fast as the 3D TV sales pick up. For deal hunters that’s going to be the perfect time to grab a large screen, super thin, LCD TV at a cheap price. Do remember that 3D TV prices are already quite aggressive and may not drop anytime soon. However, as the technology matures, you may get more value for your money.

3D TV Technology

Many would caution you that the 3D TV technology is still evolving. Yes, there is some truth to that. The 3D TVs are quite new. They mushroomed only this year but don’t forget that they are based on the same old proven LCD TV technology. And obviously the 3D technology has spent many years in various TV manufacturers’ labs. They just didn’t show up in our bedrooms. Having said that 3D TV technology, like any other technology, will continue to evolve and get better with time. It won’t be a surprise if we see rapid innovations in this space in next couple of years. When the first generation product is out in the hands of real world consumers, manufacturers get more direct feedback which gets incorporated into next generation models. Therefore it’s quite natural that we’ll see improvements in the future 3D TV models. Since that’s true with any product and any technology – why would you not enjoy the first generation 3D TV experience? You can always buy a new TV after a few years.

3D TV & Health

You must have also heard rumors that watching 3D TV is not good for eyes, it’s not good for brain, it’s damn expensive, and that it’s a plain flat headache. Don’t you know people said that when TV’s transitioned from black & white era to colored screens or when the large screen TVs arrived? An overdose of anything is bad. If you keep sitting in front of your TV set for the whole day, you are sure to get headache, your eyes are sure to get strained, and you are likely to gain some pounds. Also in the beginning not many programs will be 3D. Your TV will be 3D enabled but most shows will not be 3D. Yes, it will take a while to get used to watching 3D images but we human animals are good at adapting new ways of life especially when the experience is thrilling there cannot be any room for any sort of pain. The health risks of a 3D TV are no more or no less than any other TV.

3D TV Brands

Pretty much every TV brand is offering a 3D TV model today. Some led the way, some are joining the gang. You can buy a 3D TV from all leading TV brands viz. Samsung, Sony, LG, and Panasonic in India or elsewhere.Because of the festival and holiday season you are likely to get good discounts or add-ons on your 3D TV purchase so grab the opportunity to bring 3D experience home this holiday season.
